Mia is a practising osteopath in Melbourne. For the past five years Mia has been perfecting her craft, working on the body in a holistic manner. She never treats an area of pain in isolation. She acknowledges how adjacent body parts, movement patterns and mechanics influence a particular part of anatomy. She also implements this when it comes to movement and looking at how the body moves as a whole. She has undertaken many additional training courses in pilates, strength, rehabilitation, running mechanics to support her clients with their movement goals.
When it comes to the deep core; the diaphragm, transverse abdominis and the pelvic floor - Mia has a deep understanding of each component of the inner core. She has extensively studied breathing retraining. Mia has completed many physio led courses by the leading physiotherapists who research diastasis recti abdominis and the abdominal wall. She has also completed her internal pelvic floor training.
What is the beauty of this? That Mia understands the inner core, the body as a whole and movement and rehabilitation. She has completed so much additional training in these areas and curated a program that encapsulates all of these principles so that you don’t have to do the extra research!
